Ammonia
Frequently used commercially in large freezing and refrigeration plants, “anhydrous ammonia” (so named because at 99.98% pure it contains almost no water) is a more efficient refrigerant than CFCs, using less electricity and resulting in lower operating costs.
With advantages ranging from lower system building costs to environmental safety to greater efficiency (3-10% more efficient refrigerant than CFCs), it’s easy to see why the Steveston Fisherman’s Ice Plant chose ammonia as their refrigerant of choice. Running and maintaining such a system and ensuring as little downtime as possible is important, and something we at All Weather pride ourselves on handling on a (sometimes) daily basis.

How much you need? With its massive capacity there's almost no order too big for Steveston's Ice Plant.
